Savoleyres - Chez Simon (ShaleFest)

Verbier

A rocky little number that is sunk into the north side of Savoleres mountain. It will keep you on your toes with tightness, relative speed and blind switchbacks. It feels like real riding.

Savoleyres - Chez Simon (ShaleFest) Map

Starting down the face that acts as a semi off piste run in the winter you'll quickly be intensely focused. Off camber, rocks and and ever twisting but straight nature. No specific technicalities other than its narrow and sunken character. As your comfort and speed increases you'll be hard on the brakes to make a series of sharp corners that are carefully hidden. A fast and furious descent that can set the tone for the day or be frequented on laps on the fast Savoleyres lift.

Difficulty

Difficult

Mostly stable trail tread with some variability featuring larger and more unavoidable obstacles that may include, but not be limited to: bigger stones, roots, steps, and narrow curves. Compared to lower intermediate, technical difficulty is more advanced and grades of slopes are steeper. Ideal for upper intermediate riders.
