Gopher Trail is a beginner-rated two-way singletrack trail near the base of Mammoth Mountain. For pedal-driven trail riding, riders often climb Gopher Trail to reach the top of Big Ring, then descend Big Ring back to the base for an easy beginner ride.

Description

Alternatively, Gopher Trail makes for a very mellow beginner-friendly traversing descent from Paper Route to Downtown. Then, follow Downtown to return to the base of the mountain.

Mostly smooth and non-technical singletrack with unavoidable obstacles 2in/5cm tall or less. Avoidable obstacles may be present. Ideal for beginner riders.
