Freeride Skiing Severe
Turbinator (incorrectly called Terminator by many) is a difficult chute on the West Basin Ridge between Stauffenberg Trib and Zdarsky. The top section is very much like Stauffy Trib - rocky and steep. After what is an obvious middle spot, it narrows as it drops through the trees. There's a tight choke that starts going left then quickly turns right and there's a nice rock to pop at the bottom, if snow conditions allow.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
