A variation of Little Chute
Freeride Skiing Severe
The skinnier couloir off of Mt Baldy, Little Chute, splits half way down. You can choose to either ski Little Chute proper all of the way or cut to the skier's right and drop into the Dog Leg for the bottom half of the couloir. This option sees less traffic than Little Chute. Make sure Little Chute is OPEN, there will be a sign on the Baldy hike or on top of the chute. Don't carry too much speed out the bottom, there is a mean traverse through the powder field.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
