Steep iconic Baldy Chute
Freeride Skiing Severe
The steep boot pack takes about 25 minutes starting from the top of the Sugarloaf lift. Take a minute or two at the top of Baldy to rest your legs and take in one of the best views in the Wasatch. The Main Chute is long and steep and usually gets bumped out after it has been open for a while. The top of Main Chute is very steep and can be intimidating. If you are uneasy, take your time getting down as falling is not the recommended option. Ski one at a time, and give other groups time to get ahead. It's not the dumbest idea to treat this run like a backcountry situation.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
