La Pyramide Avals Map

As with all the lines in the Avals valley there is a twenty to thirty minute ski/tour/trek out of the valley back to Courchevel 1650 but dropping into the valley from the top of Pyramide drag lift means the easiest and quickest route in and still a fantastic ski down to the valley. As you cut left off of the drag lift try and stay high as you ski back on yourself before dropping in, this way you avoid getting caught in the bowl just ahead of you. Ahead of you are two routes, either over the spine down open faces into the basin or down through the gully to the left of the spine. The gully route is a bit more technical but the open faces of the spine are hard to resist once you see the wide untracked powder ahead of you.
