Wild Phlox and Seamans Gulch Loop Map

Seamans Gulch is a small trail network in the western foothills, convenient to Meridian and Eagle. Mapped here is the biggest single loop you can make, clocking in at just over two miles. It makes a scenic workout with a welcome dose of nature. The environment is a familiar sagebrush prairie, but with some notably large and thick stands of sagebrush on the hillsides. The hilltops are grassy and open with panoramic views over the Boise area. The surface is all hard-pack and nicely graded, with only a few steep sections. These trails can become too muddy for hiking after snow or heavy rain, but tend to dry faster than some other trails in the area.
