Freeride Skiing Easy, Moderate, Difficult
Also in Salzburg, Austria
Saalbach is one of the best ski areas in the Alps but for some reason it remains under the radar of many keen freeriders. Hopefully this guidebook will inspire you to check it out next time there is a powder day!
The terrain around Saalbach is incredibly varied and if you're searching for cold powder, perfectly spaced trees and some exciting steep gullies, you will not be disappointed. There are no glaciers and you won't need a rope to access any of these routes, so the skiing generally feels slightly less stressful than that found in higher mountain regions.
Next time you're looking for great terrain and not many people to share it with, look no further than Saalbach!
