Ascension de la pointe lachanal en hiver ( Janvier 2024 ). Condition bonne malgré un vent d'ouest très violent. Ascension rendu compliqué par les 60cm de neige fraiche dans lequel on s'enfonçait à chaque pas. Départ de l'aiguille du midi, ascension la même journée puis nuit dans l'abris Simond ( Refuge non gardé ). Température extérieur : -27 degrés Température dans l'abris : -17 degrés Attention : prévoir l'ascension quand il n'ai pas de chute de neige prétendant le jour J pour éviter de s'enfoncer.
