If you ask mountaineers which 3 summits they'd like to climb in the Alps then "Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and the Eiger" would likely be the answer. No matter where else you go and no matter what you do, climbing these 3 mountains is a lifetime achievement.
In this guidebook you'll find the "easy" (all things are relative) classic routes on the Eiger and Matterhorn, and then the 2 most popular routes on Mont Blanc. All 3 mountains have tougher routes on them but nonetheless the routes described here are all high altitude, serious affairs.
