The name alone makes it tempting to ride this couloir. The couloir itself is short, but 45 degrees steep. The entrance may be a bit tricky to find. The couloir is south facing, so make an alpine start if you are skiing it late in the season.

Description

First ascend "Dalegubben" by its route description. Remember to bring your skis all the way to the summit.

50 meters north on the summit ridge there is a west facing couloir. This couloir is avalanche prone, so make sure the conditions are safe. Ski down the first 50 meter of this couloir until it opens up. Traverse to the left going southwards, around a little corner, then you reach the entrance of the London couloir. Depending on the snow conditions it may be a bit rocky in the upper section.

After some 100 vertical meters it opens up and you enter the big bowl of Skondalen. Here you can rejoin the normal route on "Dalegubben".
