Breck Epic Stage 1: Pennsylvania Creek Map

This is a popular mountain biking route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's an unknown remoteness, it features unknown exposure and is typically done in an unknown time of year. From a low point of 2.9 km to the maximum altitude of 3.4 km, the route covers 56 km, 1905 vertical metres of ascent and 1887 vertical metres of descent.

The first day of the Breck Epic Stage Race takes it slightly easier on riders, by sticking primarily to the lower-elevation trails in and around the town of Breckenridge. But don't make the mistake of thinking this day is easy! There's still plenty of climbing to be had.

Mostly stable trail tread with some variability featuring larger and more unavoidable obstacles that may include, but not be limited to: bigger stones, roots, steps, and narrow curves. Compared to lower intermediate, technical difficulty is more advanced and grades of slopes are steeper. Ideal for upper intermediate riders.
