Description

Picking only 10 descents from the 1000s of possibilities in the Zillertal is a tricky assignment - but someone's got to do it! The valley is home to a lifetime's worth of adventures on skis, foot and bikes but if you've only got a few winter days - rather than a few decades - to explore, these routes are the ones to do.

The Zillertal is probably best known for being home to Mayrhofen - a truly legendary ski town for good reason - and home to this little lot - /discover/guidebook/4188.

Even further down the valley is Hintertux - one of the only 2 resorts in the World (the other being Zermatt - /discover/guidebook/13004) which offers skiing 365 days per year - and is and a great place for some high altitude, mellow freeriding - /discover/guidebook/4189.

Perhaps the least known of the valley's resorts is Hochfügen but for those in the know (which now includes you - /discover/guidebook/4076) it's arguably the best off-piste ski area in Zillertal.

Suffice to say that if you make it to the Zillertal, you won't be short of ski adventures, whatever the weather and wherever you go!
